In this episode, Diana Guintu discusses how she was able to overcome trauma from her early teenager years and use that experience to create a life of service where she helps people not feel so alone as they navigate a life through difficult situations. She also provides a great example of how to raise teens who are equipped to deal with the difficult times in their life.
Growing up as the youngest of 5, self-care coach and author, Diana Guintu spent her teen years with a secret. On the outside she had all the signs of success; prom queen, class president, lots of friends and a loving, supportive family. But underneath the pretty and polished facade, she suffered in silence for many years and finally sought help in a book for a trauma she didn't feel safe to share with anyone.
That book changed her life and she vowed to not be another statistic. Since then, Diana has spent her adult life in service of others, using her trauma-informed background to relate to, and ultimately to help other people going through trauma to navigate the difficult road with self-care and self-love.
